How to request account deletion

Follow these steps to request deletion of your Darood Live account:

Select the Request account deletion button below.
Send the email from the same email address used for your Darood Live account.
Keep the subject as Delete Darood Live Account and include your registered email address in the message.
We may reply to verify that you own the account. Complete the requested verification; never send us your password.
After verification, we will process the deletion request and email you when it is complete.

If the button does not open your email app, email daroodlive@gmail.com with the subject “Delete Darood Live Account”. Send the request from your registered account email.

Data that will be deleted

Once your request is verified, we will delete the account-linked data held in Darood Live’s active systems, including:

your Darood Live authentication account and account identifier;
your profile information, such as your name, email address, profile photo and user-provided city, region or country;
your saved language, counter, animation and other app preferences;
your account-linked Darood or Tasbeeh submissions, daily totals and reading history;
your city-participation and live-reader records; and
other personal app data associated with your account.

Data that may be retained

Previously contributed global or city-level totals may remain after account deletion only in aggregated form that no longer identifies you. These anonymous community totals may be retained indefinitely to preserve the historical count.

Limited backup copies and deletion-request records may be retained for up to 90 days for security, fraud prevention, disaster recovery, legal compliance and confirmation that the request was completed. They are not used to restore your account and are removed or overwritten through the normal backup cycle unless a longer period is required by law.

Processing time and important notes

We aim to complete a verified deletion request within 30 days.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
You do not need to provide your password, OTP or Google password.
If we cannot verify account ownership, we may ask for limited additional information before deletion.
Deleting the Darood Live app from your device does not delete your account.
